Veronika was born in Kyiv and got an art & design education in Ukraine, and recently studied at the Slade School of Fine Art.
“I think my relationship with art is more of a burden than a romance”.
Veronika was in Bucha when the war in Ukraine started. She lived a few weeks under occupation and managed to escape.
This experience had a great influence on her life and art practice. She moved to the UK in the spring of 2022, and now
lives and works in London. She is a member of Karmabank’s RAW project.
Her practice combines drawing and painting, utilising various media including modelling paste, acrylic, gouache, pastel and ink.
Her practice is focusing on using a limited colour range and exploring space. She works with simple natural forms such as land, tree, sky, and water.
With a diverse array of source materials, Veronika creates works between the realms of drawing, painting, calligraphy and design.
